A homegoing celebration for Mr. Malachi L. Hunter Jr. of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 will be held Saturday, November 4h 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Tampa, FL, Rev. Dr. Delores James Cain, pastor of Heritage Christian Community Baptist Church, officiating. Malachi was born on December 24, 1940 to the late Malachi L. Hunter, Sr., and Lorraine Hunter in Key West, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bernard Hunter, Kenneth Hunter, and Calvin Hunter. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his one and only daughter, DeeLores D. Everett; grandchildren, Cedric D. Crawford, Nakeisha D. Hazelwood, Trevius Everett (LaShonda), and DeMarcus J. Everett; great-grandchildren, Africa D. Parks, Trevina D.S. Everett, Nyemah A. Everett, Zion McNeal and Imani Street; brothers, Sherman Hunter (Gloria) and Herman L. Hunter; sister, Rosa Bain (Lenny); sister-in-law, Margaret Fulton; nieces, Sherrita Hunter and Fredrita Blanks; nephews, Darryl Grant, Sherrod Hunter, Shaun Mitchell, Herman Fulton, and Horatio Fulton; cousins, Selecia Watson (Rev. Gary); and a host of other loving cousins; family friends, Lutricia Greene, Edward James and Overseer Michael McClenon, Sr. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
