Obituary

Homegoing services for Ms. Mamie Jeanette Bludsaw of Tampa, who passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, will be held on Saturday, October 29th, 2:00 p.m., at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, Rev. Michael Neely, is officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Ms. Bludsaw accepted Jehovah as her personal Savior at an early age and was educated in public schools of Hillsborough County. Mamie enjoyed listening to music and writing. She was preceded in death by her father, George Bludsaw; mother, Eartha Putnam-Henderson; grandparents, James and Mamie Putnam; aunts, Luvern Sesler, Helen Cosby, Maryebelle James and Annie Mae Bludsaw; uncles, Lloyd Sesler, Sr., and Albert Crosby. She leaves to cherish precious memories with 4 sisters, Corliss Bludsaw-Bynum and fiancAC. Elbert Wimbley, Jr., Robin Fortune-Jones and husband, Donnell Lorenzo Jones, Rosemary Bludsaw and Brandy J. Fortune; aunt, Florence Bludsaw; uncles, James L. Putnam and fiancAC.e Crystal of Tampa, FL and Sumpter A. James of Madison, FL; nieces, Cherrell Williams (Vashon), Sharon Thompson (Bruce), Valerie Brown (Curtis), Trina Robinson (Wallace) and Tameka Robinson; nephews, Robert Kelly (Yveline), William Brooks (Patricia), Mario McMillon (Catina), Julius Thompson, Terry Robinson (Darnisha) and Jerry Robinson, all of Tampa, FL; cousins, Lloyd Sesler, Jr.(Carolyn), Novick Sesler, Beverly Lett-Todd (Edward) all of Tampa FL and Yvonne Anderson of Rochester, NY, Stanley James (Audrey) of Madison, FL, Sharon Postell and Sumpter James III, of Fort Pierce, FL and Melba Joyce McCarty of Palm Coast , FL; very devoted cousins, Rodney Sesler (Katrina), Simmie L. Anderson (Melissa) and Deneen Lumas; and a host of other cousins, great nieces and nephews; devoted friend, Jermon Mays; special friends, Deloris Benson, Jackie Green, Johnny Robinson, Lula Till, Addia Hall; and a host of other relatives and friends. The viewing will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 28th at Aikens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel at 1:45 p.m. for the service.
