December 3, 1959 – February 14, 2025
Manuel Sardiñas passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025 from pancreatic cancer. Manny was born in Habana, Cuba. His family emigrated to Mexico and then to the United States in 1965, and they settled in Miami. Manuel received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Florida International University. In 1981 he met Ileana Garcia while visiting his cousin, Maria, in Tampa. In 1983 Manny and Ileana were married, and they had three children, Melissa, Chris, and Michael. Manny not only loved to work in the electrical trade, he loved fishing and spending time outdoors with his family. He loved to cook and take care of his orchids and the garden; he loved reading mysteries and thrillers, and doing odd jobs around the house. He was a lover of baseball and coached Little League for several years.
Manny was predeceased by his father, Edmundo "Mundito" Sardiña (2023), his uncle Pedro Sardiña, his aunt Marieta Blanco, and his grandparents. He is survived by his spouse of 41 years, Ileana Sardiñas; his mother, Zenaida Sardiña; his daughter, Melissa Trahan (Stephen, spouse); sons Chris Sardiñas (Evelyn, spouse) and Michael Sardiñas (Chloe, spouse), and five grandchildren. A service on inurnment will be held on Tuesday, March 18, at 11:00 AM at Garden of Memories, Chapel Mausoleum, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
