Obituary

On September 14, 2025, at the age of 39, Mr. Marc-Anthoni Peacock, Jr., of Los Angeles, CA, entered eternal rest. Born on September 24, 1985, he was the cherished son of Rev. Marc-Anthoni Peacock, Sr. and Ms. Yvette Renée Binns. He began his education at St. Cecilia's Catholic School in Los Angeles, where he attended elementary school. He continued at St. Paul's Catholic School for middle school before graduating from Susan Miller Dorsey High School in 2003. His natural curiosity and skill with technology showed early. He could take apart a computer and rebuild it with ease, and what stand as an interest in video games became the spark for a lifelong passion for computers and innovation. Marc-Anthoni attended Chattahoochee Technical College, where he earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Network Specialist with a focus in Computer Information Systems Technology. He went on to achieve several advanced certifications, including Cisco Certified Specialist, Enterprise Core, and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). While attending college in Alabama, Marc met Tamala. What began as a friendship grew into a deep love and a marriage built on loyalty, resilience, and joy. They were together for sixteen years and married for fourteen, later making Tampa, Florida their home where they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and strength.

As an infant, Marc-Anthoni was baptized at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Los Angeles and received his First Holy Communion at St. Cecilia's. In his late teens, while living in Alabama, he rededicated his faith through baptism at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Montgomery. His spiritual journey reflected the love and traditions of both sides of his family, and his life was marked by joy, humor, and an enduring love for those closest to him. Marc-Anthoni built his career as a Network Engineer, applying his skills in enterprise systems and network design for nearly a decade. His most recent position was with CAP Gemini America, where he served as a subcontractor with the Disney Corporation in Orlando, Florida. In this role, his technical expertise and problem-solving ability stood out. Marc-Anthoni loved technology and gaming, a passion that carried from childhood into his career. He was also an avid sports fan, especially fond of cheering for the Saints, Lakers, Dodgers, and Yankees. Though born and raised in Los Angeles, he had a special fondness for the Bay Area, where its music, sayings, and culture resonated with him. Two of his most used expressions were "Yadada," which he often said with a grin, and "Frivolous," a word he used when something struck him as over the top or just plain unbelievable. Both reflected his humor and playful spirit. He also delighted in life's simple pleasures, a good cigar, a perfectly cooked Wagyu, Cowboy Ribeye steak, sharing Mexican food with loved ones. These passions, both big and small, are part of the legacy he leaves with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ervin Peacock and his maternal grandfather, Felton Levoy Binns.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tamala Peacock; his mother, Ms. Yvette Renée Binns (Los Angeles, California); his father, Rev. Marc-Anthoni Peacock, Sr., and his wife, Alesia Yvette Florence Peacock (Pike Road, Alabama); his sister, Michelle Aeriell Peacock-Fagans, and her husband, Anthony Darrell Fagans, Jr., along with their daughters; nieces, Zhuri and Zhara; and his brother, Milton Louis "ML" Shipman Peacock. He also leaves behind his paternal grandmother, Ronda Lillian Peacock; maternal grandmother, JoAnn Binns; his aunts, Yolanda Peacock, Robyn Howzell-Obuobi, and Nomathemba Marjorie Peacock; uncles, Renar Peacock and Levoy Felton Binns. He is remembered with love as well by his parents-in-law, Anthony Dewayne Simmons and Joyce Marilyn Simmons, and his brother-in-law, Brantley Steven Simmons (Ja'Meria) Simmons. Their children, his nephew and nieces Chase, Ava, Sydni, and Summer, will also cherish his memory. Along with a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
