Margaret
Autry
February 19, 1940 – December 29, 2021
Born February 19, 1940, in Allendale, South Carolina to Orrie and Louise Marshall-Priester. Margaret spent her early childhood in South Carolina and later moved to Tampa, Florida where she lived, worked, and raised her family. After more than 40 years of employment with Aramark (Dixie Linen), she retired. In retirement, Margaret divided her time between serving her church, Calvary Apostolic Faith Church, under the leadership of Bishop Fred L. Porter, Sr., as a member of the Mothers Board, Pastors Aide, and Ushers ministries. She also spent time with and caring for her devoted husband, loving her grandchildren, spoiling her great grand's, becoming a foster parent, and fishing.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Rudolph Priester, her brother Robert Priester, Sr., and her two sisters Bernice Moore-Tim and Mary Ellen Rosser. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving and devoted husband of 25 years, Elder Isiah Autry; sons, Freddie Williams, Ricky Williams (Toni) and Stephon Autry; daughters, Mary Williams-Lee, Linda Williams-Passmore, and Mauricia Autry and her loving daughter by marriage, Pamela Autry-Johnson, and Rose Glover. She leaves an additional 13 children by marriage, 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and her last surviving brother, Deacon Bobby Priester (Mary Lynn), and sisters-in-law, Annie B. Autry and Inez Priester. She leaves others to cherish her memory including her best friend, Minnie Gant, and her family, Frankie Jones, Jerrell Lee, William Harris, Leroy Tillman, all of her Calvary Apostolic family; and a host of nieces, nephews, former foster children, and other sorrowing friends.
