Obituary

Mrs. Margarette E. Foster was born on April 15, 1957, in Manhattan, Kansas to Emmett and Rejuania Pope. She was raised in Seaside, California and attended Monterey High School. She continued her education at Monterey Peninsula College (MPC), earning her associate's degree and continued her education at UC Berkeley, where she obtained her teaching credentials. Later, she returned to MPC as an instructor. For many years, she taught dental assistants and dental radiology, sharing her knowledge and passion with countless students whose lives she helped shape. In her later years, Margarette worked at Dillard's, where she was known for her warm personality and welcoming spirit. A devoted mother and community leader, Margarette was deeply involved in her children's lives. She served as a Girl Scout troop leader and was the president of the Seaside Raiders, always giving her time and energy to support youth and community activities. Margarette found great joy in cooking, bringing family together through meals made with love. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world. She was also a proud and supportive partner, often cheering on her husband's band with enthusiasm and pride.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Rejuania Pope; and sisters, Natona Hamilton, Christine Dunn (John). She leaves cherished memories to her husband, William Foster; son, Maurice Foster (Erica), and Mason Foster (Erica); daughter, Taylen Foster; grandchildren, Alajia, Rylan, Kannon, Easton and Kali; sister, Regina Williams; aunt, Weatau Ann Barsh (James); along with a host of nieces and nephews; and close family friends, including Bill and Neecy Mitchell, and John and Tracie Franklin amongst many more. She will be remembered as funny, kind, intelligent, and deeply loving qualities that touched everyone who knew her.
