Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Margie Carter Nelson who passed away, April 13, 2011, will be held Saturday, April 23, 11:00 a.m., at the Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Tampa, with Rev. Laurise Hamilton officiating. Interment will be at Orange Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Margie Carter Nelson was born on June 23, 1922, in Oldsmar, Florida. She was a member of St. Luke AME Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Nathaniel Carter & Waymon Nelson, Jr.; parents, Aaron and Louise Henderson; sisters, Castella Rhange, Evelyn Berry and Annie Henderson. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Patricia Mathis; grandchildren, James D. Ford Jr., Katina Morris, and husband, Jeremiah, and Kolanda Mathis; great grandchildren, Levadre Thomas, Caitlyn Hughes, Jeffery Laster, Jr., La'Mauri Howard, Jamar Laster, Jeremiah Morris II, and Kenneth Bellamy III; nieces, Jeri Reynolds, Cassandra Berry, Cassandra Halla, and husband, Victor, and Georgia Burney-Martin and husband, Clarence; nephews, Ronnie Reynolds, Alvin Pimento and wife, Evora, Wendell Hayes, Felton Hayes, wife, Rosharon, of Virginia, and Preston Hayes and wife, Deanna; great nephews, Cedric Dunn, Willis Tinsley, J.R. Moore and Jermarcus Moore; great niece, Chandra Robinson; cousin, Patricia Jackson; other relatives and special friends, Jeffery Laster, Sr., Cornelius Hughes, Jr., James Mathis and James Ford, the Mays Family, the Braswell Family, the Nelson Family, the Bryant Family, and Jowania Wormack. The visitation for Mrs. Nelson will be on Friday, April 22nd, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the Chapel on Saturday at 10:45 a.m. for the service.
