Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Maria C. Torres of Tampa, FL who passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016, 10:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Pastor Albert Capdavila, officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Maria was born on January 19, 1949 in Lajas, Puerto Rico to the late Pedro Torres and Maria Carlina Santiago. She was a member of Abundant Love Worship Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro Torres and Maria Santiago and 5 siblings. She leaves to cherish her memories with her children, Carlos A. Santos, Eugene A. Santos and Yesenia Quinones; grandchildren, Shannon Santos, Michael Santos, Juilene Mera, Megan Santos, Justin Santos, Kevin Mera, Jr., Jasibel Santos, Kennith Mera and Anthony Santos; brother, Edison Torres and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, April 22nd from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
