Homegoing services for Mrs. Marie (Mariah) Lovett of Tampa who passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, will be held on Saturday, March14th, 11:00 a.m. at New Progress Missionary Baptist Church, 3307 E. Shadowlawn Ave., Rev. Leroy Chatmon, officiating. The interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Marie (Mariah) Lovett was born July 23, 1923 in Inverness, Florida to the late Spiegee and Lucy Ann Longworth. At birth she was given the name Mariah but later changed it to Marie. She was united in holy matrimony to Buster Davis, to this union 4 children were born. To her oldest relatives and close friends she was known as Mariah or "Riah" In later years she united in holy matrimony to Andrew Lovett. She came to know Jesus as her personal Savior at a very early age. She was a faithful and supportive member of New Progress M.B. Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, Andrew Lovett, sisters, Cora Lee Pride, Elizabeth Davis, Lucy Mae Thomas, brother, Samuel J. Longworth and a very dear and loving cousin, Lillie Mae Davis. She leaves to cherish her memories: daughters, Sarah Campbell (Leonard), Frances Thompson, Georgia Lovett, Helen Evans, Anna Lovett and Cynthia Roach; sons, Anthony Lovett and Nathaniel Lovett; grandchildren, Jeffrey Campbell (Belinda), Leonard Campbell III, Frederick Campbell (Tangela), Faye Thompson and Cynthia Thompson; great grandchildren, Justin, Jeffrey, Jr., and Kevin Campbell, Katrina Oliver (Michael), LaTonya, Domonique, Ciarra, Briana, Brianca, Brittany, Ondree' and Frederick Campbell, Jr., Kajuanda Wilcox (Reginald), Kenya Thompson (Derrick-friend); great grandchildren, Campbell Oliver, Michael Oliver III, Zion, Kira, Kevin, Jr., Khai, Khaliah, Keilani, Demani, Keyani, Zackery, Devon, Khalil, Aaliyah and Tajh; very loving caregiver, Candace Nealy; and a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to mention but not forgotten. The visitation will be held at New Progress M.B. Church from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2015. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
