Obituary

Marina Pilcher was a native of Tampa, FL. Born the last of seven children to the late James M. Sr. and Marina C. Bodden. Marina grew up attending St. Peter Claver Catholic Church where she received her early education before entering the Hillsborough County Public School system graduating from Middleton High School in 1965. She earned an AA from St. Pete Junior College and a bachelor's degree from the University of Tampa. Marina was employed at Morrison's Pharmacy before establishing her career with the State of Florida, Dept. of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). She retired as a Commitment Manager after 35 years of service. She joyfully participated in planning the Middleton Class of 1965 annual reunions for many years. In retirement, she enjoyed cruising and traveling (with Private Collections and The Queens).

Marina was preceded in death by her parents, James M. Sr. and Marina C. Bodden; brothers, James M. Bodden, Jr. and wife Brownie, Robert M. Bodden, Sr., and wife Della, and Dolan M. Bodden; sisters, Harriette M. Harris and husband Fred, Bettye J. Gray, and Beverly Walker Monroe; brothers-in-laws, Fred Harris and Fred Pilcher; sisters-in-laws, Maxine F. Bodden and Toynita Pilcher; niece, Elizabeth A. Bodden; and nephew James M. Bodden.

Marina is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 50 years Ronnie L. Pilcher; children, Alfred E. (Ricky) and wife Stephanie, and Kimberly Richardson-Mills and husband Ronald; 4 grandchildren, Quenton D. Richardson and wife Vanesha, Marnika C. Jones, Keyon E. Jones, and Courtney Dixon; 4 great grandchildren, Steven, Quenton, Jr., Savanah, and Major; brother, Joseph W. P. Bodden; Cheryl Pilcher, Carol Pilcher, and Gloria Shaw; nieces and nephews, Robert Bodden, Jr., Anthony Bodden (Sonya), Teresa Harris (Barry, Sr.), Brian Bodden (Suzette), Kennan Bodden, Marina Bodden, Laverne Ivory (Michael, Sr.), Mark Bodden (Lorena), Elizio Bodden (Yannie), Karen Humpheries, Joseph Bodden, Jr. (Becky), Marinette Chavers (Leonard), Monica White, Terria A. Gray, Frank O. Gray, Jr. (Audrey), Elder Gailry T. Bagley (Elder Louis, Sr.), Karen A. Garrett (Leonard) and McKinley A. Gray, Shavawn Spencer (Rufus), Tonia Torres (Michael), Christopher M.
