Mr. Marion W. Danzey "Mad Dog" Homegoing services for Mr. Marion W. Danzey "Mad Dog" of 4928 So. 84th Street, who passed away, Wednesday, January 28, 2009, will be held Saturday, February 6th, 11:00 a.m., The Holy Ghost Church of God PWHB, 3613 N. 23rd Street, Bishop Isaac Andrews, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Mr. Marion W. Danzey was born on January 22, 1939 in Tampa, Florida to the late Cleveland and Bettie (Powell) Danzey. He enjoyed watching old movies and reading the National Geographic Magazine. Mr. Danzey was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Viola Murray and aunt, Carrie Wright. He leaves to cherish his memory: spouse, Verlene Hawkins; children, devoted daughter, Pamela Wright (Johnny), Michael Calhoun, Vetosa Danzey, Shelton Danzey, Pamela Dixon, Viceola Johnson, Henry Baker, Paul Johnson, Reginald Johnson, Valerie Reid, and Sharon Rodriguez; step-children, Angelia Hamilton and husband, Jerome, Kimberly, Rachel, Frankie and Anthony Reeds; grandchildren, Johnny, Jr. Michele Wright, Teja, Te'Keja and Te'Jay Brown, Tina, Andre, Adula, Traiyana, Rashaud, Alexia, Shaquana, Tomesha, Shawntae, Ebony, Keyanti and Evelio; step-grandchildren, Tashawna, Nyeisha, Teshirah, Jermeka, Josha, Shaquiela, Kerry, Kimberly, Michael, Nalidje, Marty, Cedric, Cedrica and Devon; great-grandchildren, Rogers Ross, III, Tangelia, Dashawn, Cwen'tun and Kayla; brothers, Henry Sanders, Eugene Danzey and Charles Danzey; sisters, Shirley Clemons and Louise Jones; nieces, Valorie Garner, Shenita Crum, Cherine West and Linda P. English; nephew, Michael Danzey; special sister-in-law, Dorothy Danzey; special friends, Glenn Thomas, Lester Fuels, and Evelyn Outley; and a host of other relatives and friends. The remains will repose at Aikens Funeral Home from 3 to 7 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church at 10:45 a.m. for the service.
