Marjorie Ann
Dixon
May 11, 1947 – March 30, 2024
Marjorie Ann, affectionately known as "Margie," was raised in Tampa, Florida and attended Hillsborough County schools. She graduated high school in 1965. Marjorie was united in marriage to Willie Grady Dixon in 1966. They had been married for 50 years, until the Lord called him home. To this union, one son was born, Willie Eugene Dixon. She received Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She joined First Baptist Church of College Hill on January 1, 1976, where she attended until her health declined. Marjorie was an excellent cook that loved cooking for her family and friends. Her love for cooking was natural, genuine, perfect, and always delicious. Cooking was one of her gifts from God. She used her gift for family and friends, and anyone who asked. Margie was the familys home chef. She could cook anything. She would take any recipe and make it her own. She always encouraged and motivated everyone around her. She never met a stranger and opened her home to many people. Margie was the caretaker for many family members and others, as they worked. That was also a gift from God. She did it with such grace. She never complained of being tired or not wanting to do the job. She would only say "Bring them on!" Marjorie was an excellent wife, daughter, mother, sister, friend, auntie, and the best grandmother/great grandmother that anyone could ask for.
Marjorie preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willie Grady Dixon; parents, James and Annie Mae Mitchell; four brothers, Herbert, Albert, Ronald, and James Mitchell.
Marjorie leaves many precious memories to be left with her son, Willie Eugene (Lenora) Dixon; grandchildren, Aumbray Livingston (Destany), Chasieia Dixon (Derrick), and Hakeem Dixon (Corteshian); great grandchildren, Jacob, Olivia, KyMoni, Kayanni, and Hakeem, Jr.; Marjorie shared a bond with her siblings that can never be broken, sisters, Alberta Reed, Yvonne Edman and Cynthia Mitchell; a host of loving nephews, nieces, friends, and special friends Maxine Harrison, and Dorothy Russell, and everyone that experienced her blissful love.
