Mark Anthony Keith recently departed this life on September 21 2021 in Tampa, Florida. Mark was born on December 20, 1959 in Boston, Massachusetts to Bessie and Hampton Keith. He was their seventh of eight children.
Mark graduated from Snowden International (Copley Square) High School in 1977. He continued his educational studies at Northeastern University (MA) and Hampton University (VA).
Mark joined the U.S. Navy in 1987 and completed his tour of service in 1994. He was trained as a qualified aircraft mechanic and served in this capacity during this tour. For a time, Mark worked for IBM. He had a variety of skills gathered over his working life which included being a printer, bricklayer, car mechanic; as a trucker, he drove 18-wheeler tractor-trailers, hauling merchandise across the United States.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, and by his brother, Allan Keith.
Mark is survived by: three loving sons, Mark Keith, Jr. (Boston, MA), Jamahl Keith (Boston, MA), and Aaron Keith (Tampa, FL); four grandchildren, Xavier, Aaliyah, Hasaan, and Jamahl, Jr.; also lamenting his departure are his siblings, Ronald Keith (Baskerville, VA), Vera Aleem (Herndon, VA), Barbara Friends (Orlando, FL), Sandra Chapman (Boston, MA), Valerie Keith (Boston, MA), and Hampton Keith (Los Angeles, CA); and a host of nieces and nephews, in-laws, other relatives, and friends.
Throughout his entire life, Mark chose the religion of Islam as his desired manner of worshiping the Supreme Being (the Creator). Al-Islam is a religion of peace adhered to by those who are obedient to the Will of the Almighty.
