Martha was born on May 3, 1938, in Alachua, Florida, to Harry and Jessie Mae Jones.

Martha's favorite hobby was working on word search puzzles. When her health allowed, she was active in Mount Zion A.M.E. Church, specifically the choir and the Women Missionary Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Eliza Browder, and Charlie Weaver; brothers, John and Robert Jones; aunts, Eva Patterson, and Ethel Butler; uncle, Dennis Reddick (Peggy); nephew, Darrin Jones; and great-nephew, Jamaya Jones.

She leaves precious memories with her children, Sheria Jones, Charise Williams, and Bonita Settles; grandchildren, Chjame Jones, Ahshayla Jones, Davondre Williams (Philneshia), Zahryia Williams, Karmeyatta Alexander, and Kobe Williams; great-grandchildren, Ava Williams, Davondre Williams, Jr., Kyle Alexander, and Ciara Mack; brother, John Jones, Sr. (Ruth); sister-cousins, Geraldine Hodges, Sr. (Edward), and Ophelia Colbert; nieces, Delores Parker, Valencia Jones, and Jennifer Jones; nephews, Eric Patterson, Robert Jones, Jr., Kenneth Jones, John Jones, Jr., and Michael Williams; special friend, Peggy Patterson; and a host of great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins, and friends.
