Marty Lazar lost his nearly 2-year battle with cancer on April 8, 2024. He fought hard, managing his roller coaster illness by writing, producing and performing his final album. Marty spent 71+ years as a fun, loud, musical, technical and helpful guy to all who knew him.

He was an excellent friend of many and an animated brother to Dani Lane. For 31 years he was a trusted, wacky spouse and collaborative colleague to Jo.
