Marvin
Sunday
January 1, 1932 – October 31, 2025
Mr. Marvin Sunday was born on January 1, 1932, in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late Joseph Sunday and the late Catherine Westbrook. He was a faithful member of Morning Star Baptist Church. Marvin Sunday's career spanned over 30 years in construction as a Brick Mason, 25 years at the Hav-A-Tampa Cigar Factory as a driver for the CEO, and 18 years with the Tampa Tribune newspaper as a nighttime newspaper driver.
Mr. Sunday was known for his impeccable style — from his signature hats and tailored suits to his perfectly shined shoes — truly, "He was clean."
In his spare time, Marvin enjoyed watching classic TV shows such as Good Times and Sanford and Son. He also enjoyed fishing, and following both college and NFL football. He was a devoted fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the University of Alabama Crimson Tide — "Roll Tide!"
Marvin was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. His life was marked by kindness, strength, and hard work. He loved spending time with his family, sharing laughter, and enjoying his cigars. With a gentle spirit and unwavering faith, he touched many hearts and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Marvin Sunday answered his Master's call and peacefully transitioned from labor to reward. His soul now rests in the arms of the Lord. He was 93 years old.
