Obituary

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Cochran of 1709 Taliaferro Avenue who passed away, Monday, September 27, 2010, will be held Saturday, October 9th, 11:00 a.m., Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. David Jones, Sr. officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Mary Cochran was born in Millen, Georgia, to the late Seba Louis Watson, Sr. and Bertha Nesbitt Watson-Height. She became a Baptist at an early age and enjoyed reading, church and TV. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Cochran, Sr.; six sisters, Elizabeth Jones Fisher, Trudie Mae Watson-Randall, Burnice Opal Octavia Watson, Corinne Watson Morris, Hattie Bell Watson Williams-Johnson, Elease Watson; two brothers, Ezra Miles Watson and Seba Louis Watson, Jr. and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, a loving, devoted niece and caregiver, Mary Pittman, her five sons, Robert Lee Watson, James Earl Watson (Rose), Ezra Miles Watson (Betty), , Billy Watson (Angela) and Leo Cochran of Germany; 12 grandchildren, Shandra Watson, Rebecca Watson, Jena Watson, Kieshia Anderson, LaShonda Watson, Jamilla Watson, Selinda Watson, Nicole Jones, Howard Jones, Terrance Hubbard, Kiosha Avant and Dionysus Parker; two brothers, Willie James Watson and Paul Height, Sr.; 13 nieces, Mary Pittman, Willie Mae Crawford (Noble), Bernice Brown (John), Christine Former (Cephus), Rosa Lee Murry (Clarence), Virginia Fisher, Stephanie Price, Shirley Jean Morris, Barbara Ann Watson, Bobbie Jean Watson, Debbie Jean Watson (Stanley), Sabrina Height and Coloyer Brown; 10 nephews, Rev. Jake Fisher (Rev. Gloria Fisher), John Fisher, Benny Fisher, Leroy Fisher, Jerome Franklin Morris, Willie James Watson, Jr., Ronnie Watson and Donnie Watson, Paul Height, Jr. and Reginald Height; 15 great grandchildren, Briana Robinson, Arkyze Reckley, Jaylan Watson, Jaylia Watson, Amylia Hubbard, Deshan Parker and 9 Jones family; 50 great grandnieces and nephews, and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, October 8th from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel at 10:45 a.m. for the service on Saturday.
