Homegoing services for Ms. Mary Lee Harrington Duval, who passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 in St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, will be held on Saturday, November 24th, 12:30 p.m. at Northside M.B. Church, 5706 North 40th Street, with Rev. Ricardo Robinson pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mary Lee Harrington Duval was born in Quittman, Georgia May 10, 1923 and moved to Ellenton, Florida at the age of 6 months, after the passing of her father the late Guy Harrington. At the age of 4 years old, her mother, the late Doshia Conley Harrington passed away. She along with siblings, Robert and Effie Lucile in turn, were raised by their older sister, Ella B. Johnson, more affectionately known as Shoot. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Yvonne Duval; sisters, Alberta Brooks, Ella B. Johnson, Larcy Bell Waiters, Nina Lee Carter, Willie Maude Persha and Lucile Rhondes; brothers, Jessie Harrington, Jiles Harrington and Robert Harrington; nephew, Travis Bibbins and grandson, David Grooms. She departed her life November 14, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Florida. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted children; Alphonso Smith, Sr. (Helen). of Oviedo, FL, Elouise Vigilance, Tampa, Florida and Jeriline Dobson, Tampa,FL; grandchildren, Alphonso Smith, Jr, Chriss Von Thomas, Kimberly Smith, Willie L. James, Jr., Gwendolyn D. James, Gary L. James (Jennifer), Jeffrey L. James, Pamela Duval, Candace Graham, Marlon Duval, Reginald Duval, Cedric Randall (Joyce) Tracey Perkins, Darron Duval and Coretta Tims, 48 great grandchildren; 52 great great grandchildren; sister -in-law, Vivian Harrington of Palmetto, FL; favorite niece, Inez Ware; and a host of other relatives and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, November 23rd, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
