Mary Elizbeth Jones was born on March 23, 1949, in Cairo, GA. Mary's life was a testament to her passion for family, her joy for travel, and her innate ability to care for those around her. Mary's journey began as the cherished daughter of Arthur Lee Hudson and Beulah Hudson. She grew up surrounded by a large and loving family, including her siblings, Arthur Lee Hudson, Tyrandy Hudson, Lucy Mae Hudson, Priscilla Nash, Annie Doris Davis, Jimmie Hudson, and Gary Hudson. Her early life in Georgia laid the foundation for the compassionate and nurturing woman she would become. She met and married the love of her life, Jimmie Lee Jones, and together they embarked on a life full of love and laughter. Mary's role as a mother to Rosia E. Jones Moore and Jimmie Lee Jones, Jr. was one she held above all else.

Her heart only grew with the arrival of each of her grandchildren; Shalena Davis, Mitchel Davis, Shamika Mutcherson, Erica Jones, Kevin Jones, Theresa Jones, Jimmie Jones III, Jimika Cooper, and Ashley Jones. Mary's legacy continued to flourish with the birth of her great-grandchildren and through the lives of her many nieces, nephews and their children. A woman of extraordinary warmth, Mary's loving nature extended beyond her family. She was a caretaker at heart, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her compassionate spirit was felt by many, and she became a mother figure to those in need of care and affection. Mary's adventurous soul led her to travel, exploring the beauty of the world and creating memories that her family will cherish forever. Her passion for life was contagious, and she inspired those around her to embrace each day with enthusiasm and gratitude. In her passing, Mary leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Arthur Lee Hudson, Beulah Hudson; granddaughter, Jamie Diana Yvette Smith Ford; siblings, Willie James Hudson, Henry Hudson, Debrah Ingram, Joanne Cosby, and Steve Hudson. Their reunion in eternal rest brings comfort to those she leaves behind. Those who knew Mary will remember her as the embodiment of love and kindness.
