Mary Elizabeth
Louis
January 17, 1962 – May 27, 2022
Mary was born on January 17, 1962, in Tampa, Florida, to the union of the late Gus Davis and Lillie Mae Davis.
During Marys early years, her family would travel back and forth to their hometown of Marianna, Florida. Mary received her education through the Hillsborough County public school system, where she graduated from Middleton High school in 1983. After graduation, she followed in the footsteps of her mother and became a CNA. She worked at Su Casa Nursing Home until retirement.
Mary lived a full and vibrant life and was the life of the party. She used her faith to encourage every individual that crossed her path. Mary would sit on the porch and people would flock to her for guidance. No matter her residence, Mary was viewed as the neighborhood "mom" or "auntie." She loved to cook, spend time with family, and take care of peoples children.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gus Davis; sister, Lola Davis; brother, Willie Mitchell; nephew, Job Warren; and godson, Keontae Golden.
Mary leaves to cherish wonderful memories with her loving mother, Lillie Mae Davis; daughter, Felicia Williams (Vaughn, Sr.); grandchildren, also referred to as "her boys", Vaughn Williams, Jr. (Crislia), Dymunte Williams, Freddrick Williams, and Caleb Williams; cousins, also referred to as "her other boys"; Emery Godwin, and Trever Godwin; brothers, Anthony Morrell, Lester Davis (Wanda), and Robert Davis; sister, Jackie Bolds; aunts, Mildred Godwin, Leavern Godwin, Gloria Sterrex, and Margie Day; uncle, Robert Godwin (Linda); nieces, Carolyn Flowers (Vender), Khadeejah Williams (Jamal), Sylvia Coleman, Leshauna Davis, and Jada Davis; nephews, David Williams, Jr. (Kasey), Akeem Davis (Kiara), Christian Davis, Darrell Chaney, and Javario Bolds; great nephews, Justin Moore, Bryan Ross, Brandon Williams, and Tyler Murray; great niece, Amari Williams; devoted friends, Laura Willis, and Tina Freeman; and special family, Tanya Patrick, and Early Coleman. Mary also leaves a sorrowing host of family, friends, and special ministers.
The family and friends are asked to wear purple or blue to the church on Saturday for the service.
