Obituary

A Homegoing Visitation for Ms. Mary Scriven of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 will be held Friday, September 4th, from 5 to 8 p.m., Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Mary attended Hernando High school. She enjoyed cooking, attending family events, spending time with her grandchildren, reading the bible, going to church and listening to gospel music. Prior to her death, she gave her life to God by joining New Life Tabernacle Church. She was a giving person and always welcomed everyone with open arms. She also enjoyed cooking Sunday meals for family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Scrivens and Annabel Sanders; sisters, Ruth Bunch and Betty Stokes; brother, Daniel Stokes and granddaughter, De'onie Bowman. She leaves to cherish her memories with: children, Natasha Scrivens Ponder (Ronnie), Cedric Scrivens, Jamere Scrivens (Rockell) and Bridgett Bowman (Edward); grandchildren, Karlos, Jr., Te'asha and Keshon Wilson, Nijai Bowman, Lamarianna and Jannya Scrivens, Jahmier Anderson and Emaria Myers; brothers, Eugene Scrivens, Jr. and Clifford Scrivens (Jean); uncle, Buster Scrivens; nieces, Linda Bunch, Shawn Burnette, Emma Mathis and Cynthia Waddy; nephews, George Houston (Jerlen), John Wright, Jr. (Twiana), Tyrone Bunch and Curtis Bunch (Dawn); a host of cousins; and other relatives; special friends, Sandra Payne, Author Williams, Robert Whitehead, Shirley "babysister", Lisa Youngblood-Guydon, Linda Youngblood-Perkins, Tonya Copeland and Ivory Robinson. There will be a wake service to begin at 6:00 p.m., the family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home Friday evening for the service.
