A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Mattis Bell Lowery of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 will be held on Saturday July 17th, at 10:30 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Tiffany Montgomery, officiating.

Mattie Bell Lowery September 23, 1939 in Leary, Georgia to Mr. J.W. Lowery and Martha Faye Johnson. Mattie spent her life loving and caring for her children, her family, and all those she met. Though she was small in stature she was a giant to those who knew and loved her. She indeed embodied the virtues of a woman of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Patterson Garrett; children, Elizabeth Jackson, Robert Jackson, and Johnny B Jackson. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her children, Mattie Nelson (Charles), Frankie Lewis (Pepper), Calvin Jackson (Vanolyn), Curtis Jackson, Augustus "Gus" Lowery and Alan Lowery (Katina); brother, Clark Lee, Benny Frank, Trouble Lee, David Lee and Willie Fred; sisters, Minnie Bell, Emma Lee, Fannie Mae, and Carolyn. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
