Homegoing services for Mrs. Mattie Louise Richardson of Tampa a beautiful Saint who was called home on Friday, December 26, 2014, will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015, 2:00 p.m. at Greater Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church, 1203 N. Nebraska Ave., Rev. Dr. B.R. Fulton, pastor officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mattie Richardson was born February 10, 1937 in Eufala, Alabama to Buddy Lee Rivers and Louise Reed. She was a resident of Tampa, Florida for over 50 years. She received Christ at an early age, and was an active and faithful member of Greater Mt. Moriah P.B. Church for over 50 years. She was a faithful Sunday school teacher for many years and for the last 5 consecutive years her Class No. 4 has won the Church School Banner. She was also president of the Floral Ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents, ex-spouse, James Richardson and brothers, Michael Reed and Carter Reed. She is survived by her loving children, Freddie Reed (Dorothy) and Willie Reed (Marion) of Los Angeles, CA, Darrell Richardson (Cassandra), Tampa and baby girl, Lynnette Richardson of Miami, FL; sisters, Janie Coley Archie (Clarence), Pastor Lena Boyd (Jerry) and baby sister, Diane; uncles, Donnie Paul Hicks and Albert Lee Hicks; aunts, Carrie Brown, Nellie Smith, Mollie Hicks and Nell Hicks; grandchildren, Veronica, Vanessa, Lynnette, Lovie, Darrell, Jr. (Chonesty), Kevin (Ashley), Kelwin (Rhonda), Clinton (Tameaka), Richard and William; 18 great grandchildren; adopted son, James Adkins and family, a host of nieces and nephews and other family members and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday January 2nd from 5 to 7 p.m. The family will receive guests from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
