Maurice Antuan "Dirty Reese" Garrett was born to Ms. Tracie Garrett and Mr. Anthony Jarrett on June 25, 1986 in Tampa, Florida. Maurice was the first born child and grandchild of his family. He was baptized at early age and educated in the Hillsborough County public school system, earning his High School Diploma from Richard Melbourne in 2005. Maurice was an entrepreneur and worked very hard at anything he put his mind to. Maurice always believed that his hard work could not compare to the love of his family, especially his grandma and mom he affectionately called his, "First Lady and Big Baby". Maurice had a passion for restoring cars; it was something he was very proud of along with serving others in the community whether it was lawn service or just stopping by to check on the older neighbors. Maurice was also a neighborhood "Big Brother" to the younger boys in his community. They referred to him as "Dirty Reese" and would seek him for guidance in this "Dirty World" because they knew he always had the right advice and listening ear. His big bright smile, wise words and one liner jokes could turn a frown upside down, leaving you with thoughts of how to apply what he said and brighten up your day. He also enjoyed going on out on the water whether on a boat ride or jet skiing and his favorite place Top Golf for relaxation. Maurice always believed that nothing came easy and worked hard to get everything he needed. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his best friend, Lonnie Mann; great grandparents, the late Johnny and Dollie Mae Brown and the late, Johnnie Mae and Albert Blocker; aunt Joanne and uncle, Bill James; cousins, Demarcus Williams and Herbert James. Maurice is survived by his loving parents, Tracie Garrett and Anthony (Nikki) Jarrett; beloved grandparents; his favorite person in the whole wide world his grandmother, Clevetta (Marty) McHenry; grandfather, Vernindale (Rosemary) Garrett and grandparents, Phillip and Carol Jarrett; great grandparents, Vadie Gilmore, Cleveland Sr. (Kate) Moss; sisters and brothers, Clevetta Jones, Jerry Garrett, Seantinae Pearson and Brandon Jarrett; aunts and uncles, Cindy (Markell) Carter, Vernindale, Sr., "Uncle Mann" (Latoya) Garrett, Adrian (Jamison) Ross, Cleveland Jr. (Ann) Moss and Marvin Moss; cousins, EverKeyera Garrett, Reggie (Shantanetta) Flowers, Destiny Carter, Vernindale Jr. and Olivia Garrett, Eric Ingram and Ri'Yana (Maquis) Mitchell, Shianne Simpson, Shardai and Shanyah Sallye; godparents, Darlene Richardson and Lillian Brown; godbrother, Vincent Johnson and Eric Howard.
