Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Maxine Perkins Kirkpatrick 82, who passed away peacefully at home in Tampa, Florida on Saturday, October 3, 2015 will be held Tuesday, October, 13th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd, Father Hugh Chikawe, officiating. Mrs. Kirkpatrick, was a devoted mentor to the children of the family. Friends and family describe Mrs. Kirkpatrick as a generous beautiful soul, she was living with her sister Pearlyne for the past year, but was a former resident of St. Thomas, VI for 36 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; both parents CW and Rosa L. Perkins, her son Stephen Perkins; sister; Delores; brothers, Charles, Kemwa, and Wendell Perkins; nephews, William Dungey, Charles Perkins, Jr. and niece, Andrea Dungey. She leave to cherish her precious memories with her sisters, Pearlyne Wilson, Shirley Rogan, Juanita Dungey and Barbara Petersen; brothers, James and Harris Perkins; a special cousin, Janet Smalls and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 13th, one hour prior to the service. The family and friends are asked to meet at Aikens Funeral Home on Tuesday for the services.
