Michael was born October 24, 1974 to Vera Barnes and Charles Bennett. Mr. Bennett was a native of Tampa, Florida for 37 years. He attended Jefferson High School, class of 1993. He was employed as a coca-cola truck driver. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Bennett, sister, Helen Marie Barnes, aunt, Mary Potts and uncle, Frank Barnes. He leaves to cherish his memory: eldest children, Nicole and Michael Bennett of Tampa, FL; Shanavia Bennett, Alexandra Bennett, Mikera Bennett, Shakira Bennett, Charles Bennett, Jaylen Bennett and Anthony Bennett; mother, Vera Barnes; devoted sisters, Carolyn Barnes, Michelle Barnes, Shirley Abibo (David) of Oklahoma city, and Stephanie Bennett; brother, Horace Barnes, aunt, Lois Bennett; niece, Vera Barnes, Lanasia Taylor and Learia Taylor; nephews, Corey White, Christian B. and Antonio Barnes; cousins, Doris Johnson and Karen Smith (Dennis); and a host of devoted relatives and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, May 18th, from 5-8 p.m. The friends and family are asked to meet at the Chapel on Saturday for the service.
