Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Michael Wayne Davis of Mitchellville, Maryland formerly of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014, will be held on Saturday, December 20th, 12:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Father Hugh Chikawe, pastor of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Michael Davis was born March 9, 1953, in Tampa Florida to the late Alvin Cecil and Richadean Davis. He attended Middleton and Blake high schools of Hillsborough County. He received an AA degree from Hillsborough Community College. He joined the United States Navy where he served for 3 years. Michael was an entrepreneur and owned and operated Michael's Auto Detailing for a number of years. He was preceded in death by his son, Francis Alek Amadi-Davis, father, Alvin Cecil Davis Sr., brother, Audley R. Davis and his grandparents, Pink and Frances Davis, Arbie and Gladys Howard. He leaves a loving family to cherish his memories: his wife, Ifeyinwa Franca Amadi-Davis; three sons, Michael Williams, Noah Davis and Ikechukwu "Aik" Davis; two daughters, Vivica Davis-Saddler (Derrick) and Ifeyinwa "Ify" Davis; nine grandchildren, Nyla Anderson, Nia Saddler, Ty'zohn Davis, Tameic Johnson, Mi'kayla Williams, Mi'liyah Williams, Mia Williams, Mikyra Williams and Myriah Williams; mother, Gloria Richadean Everett; brother Alvin C. Davis (Diana), three sisters, Cynthia Ellison (Ellenwood, GA), Cheryl Glenn-Floyd, and Ceceilia Davis; one brother-in-law, Uzo Amadi; five sisters-in-law, Bridget Osegbe (Dominic), Rose Osuji (Louis), Mirian Ezeora (Charles), Beatrice Amadi, and Helen Okpo (Innocent); one uncle, Allen "Bradley" Davis; one aunt, Jacqelyn James; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, including the Davis, Amadi, Sails, Gambrell, McCarr families, and close friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, December 19th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
