Homegoing celebration for Mr. Michael G. Hadley of Tampa, Florida who passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 will be held Saturday, August 16th at 1:00 p.m., 34th Street Church of God, 3000 N 34th Street, Tampa, Florida, Rev. Dr. Thomas Scott, pastor as eulogist with Apostle David Boyd, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Michael G. Hadley, a well noted citizen of Hillsborough County, was born January 3, 1953 in Miami, Florida to the union of the late Emory Hadley, Sr. and Lucille Hadley. He was one of seven children. Michael departed this life August 8th, 2014. He was 61 years old. Michael was raised and received his education in Miami, Florida. In September 1982, Michael met the love of his life, Sonya Berrien, and five months later he changed her last name to Hadley. They were joined in holy matrimony on February 26, 1983. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, the late Emory Hadley, Sr. and Lucille Hadley, his brother Emory Hadley, Jr. and his sister, Frances Hadley Wallace. Hadley will be greatly missed by his loving and devoted wife of 31 years, Sonya A. Hadley; children: Aisha Hadley, Dwayne Hadley, Dondre Hadley, Michael Hadley II, (Miami) and Damien Hadley, (Georgia); 4 brothers, Patrick Hadley (Cynthia), Miami, Keith Hadley (Charmaine), Stone Mountain, GA, Bertram Hadley, Miami and Neil Hadley, Miami; father-in-law, Rev. Ezell Berrien; sisters-in-law, Judy Mathis (Howard), Lakeland, FL, Sherrie Berrien, Tampa, Rosalind Portiere Hadley, Miami, brothers-in-law; Norman Berrien (Minelle), Tampa, Gary Berrien (Shirlene), Deltona, Dwayne Berrien (Leslie), Artis Berrien (Jacquelyn), Jerome Berrien, Mark Berrien, Tampa and Corey Berrien, Pine Bluff, AR, god children; Herold Lord, Simeon Hill, Jamar, Martel and Shanell Berrien, Tampa; 19 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 48 nieces and nephews; a number of great nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at 34th Street Church of God on Friday, August 15th from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
