Mr. Michael D. Upshaw, affectionately known as “Mike,” was born on August 4, 1973, in Tampa, Florida. He was a proud graduate of Tampa Bay Technical High School and later became the co-owner of Four Season Lawn Service with his dad, where his dedication and strong work ethic were evident. Michael was a faith-filled, loving, funny, and intelligent man who had a genuine heart for God and for people. He loved talking about the Lord and sharing his faith with others. He also enjoyed music, learning new things, grilling, and lending a helping hand whenever needed. For 30 years, Michael was a faithful and devoted member of Praise Outreach Bible Study Church, Inc. Answering the call to ministry, he faithfully served as a minister for 15 years. Affectionately known within the church as “Minister Mike,” he used his gifts and talents in many areas of ministry. He sang in the POBSC Choir, participated in the Men’s Group, and served on the Hospitality and Feeding the Homeless Team, Security Team, and as a parking lot attendant. Michael’s life reflected a servant’s heart.
