Homegoing services for Mrs. Michelle L. Walbey of Tampa who passed away, June 26, 2013, will be held Saturday, July 6th, 2:00 p.m., Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, Bishop Ronald Anderson, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Michelle was born January 20, 1939 in Champagne, IL to the late Edgar and Mary Williams. She was loved sports and enjoyed watching baseball, basketball and football. She also liked her soap operas and talk shows. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Nancy and David Sykes and sister, Nancy Williams. She leaves to cherish her memories with a loving family: children, Carmen E. Walbey, Michelle V. Walbey and Miles D. Walbey; companion of 34 years, Willie Thompson, Jr.; step-children, Tavaris, Zena and Sharonda Thompson; grandchildren, Soko S. Upshaw, Timothy P. and Jeremaih J. Lindsey, Natasha N. Boderick, Angalisa M. and Joshua D. Walbey, Marianela V. and Maricela M. Reyes, , Roman, Michelle and Tilliesha Williams and Jarmarcus Woods; great grandchildren, Idell Walton III, Zion Walton, Treyvon N. Walton, T'yanna M. Reyes, Michael Witcomb Hutsell, Jr., Janessa M. Garcia, Devon S. Walbey, Kengston E. Varney, Clifford D. Perkins, Ramiah M. Gillon and Furqan Majee Gillon, Jr.; brothers, Jerry Williams and Junior Williams; sisters, Brenda Williams, Willie Mae Williams and Evelyn Williams; niece, Sheila Woods and a host of other nieces and nephews; cousins, Ida and Ralph Small and a host of other cousins; sisters-in-law, Annette Terry, Theodosia Draher, Dorene Watson (Jack), Sandra Smith (Norman) and Brenda Ross; children's father, Harold B. Walbey, Jr.; and a host of other sorrowing family and friends including, friend, Joyce; The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, July 5th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet on Saturday at the chapel for the service.
