Homegoing celebration for Deacon Mike Williams "Coon-Man" of Tampa, Florida who passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 will be held Saturday January 26th at Triumph the Church and Kingdom God in Christ, 2617 East 24th Ave at 2:00 p.m., Pastor Dr. David P. Carswell, officiating. Interment will be held in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Mike was born September 15, 1929 to the late Mitch and Princella Williams. He was a member of Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God In Christ and enjoyed hunting coons, fishing and was a dog lover. He was preceded in death by, brothers, Mitch and Alex William; sisters, Marie Roberts and Blanche McCormick; aunts, Daisy Bradley and Emily Morris; brothers-in-law, S.H. and Prince Jacob. He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories with wife, Mother Callie Mae Williams or 62 years; children, Mike Williams, Jr. (Violette) of Roswell, GA and Anthony Williams of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Cameron, James, Allen and Virginia Williams; nieces, Evangeline Roberts, Blanche Butts (William), Princella Youngblood (Willie), Mattie William and Evang. Bonnie Mitchell; nephews, Corrie Roberts, Oscar Roberts, Jeremiah, Nehemiah, David, Malachi and Celotha McCormick; sisters-in-law, Mother Katie Bell Williams and Mother Marie Whitehurst; brothers-in-law, Brother Ruben Whitehurst (Mother Mozell), Elder Isaac Whitehurst (Mother Joyce) and Elder Grady Whitehurst (Geneva) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home Friday, January 25, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
