A Homegoing Graveside Celebration for Mrs. Mildred Washington Demons of Tampa, Florida who passed away, Friday, September 18, 2020, will be held on Saturday, September 26th, 11:30 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Ave., Pastor Julia McMillian, officiating. The interment will follow. Mildred was born October 8, 1937 to the late Willie Washington, Sr. and Bessie Walden Washington. She attended Tennille Elementary school in Tennille, Georgia. She was married to the late Willie Edward Demons, Sr. She relocated to Tampa, Florida and from that union they had 5 children. She was also preceded in death by two of her children, Shirley Ann Demons and Larry Darnell Demons.

She leaves fond memories of her to her three children, Willie Edward Demons, Jr., (Thomasina), Geronnie Demons (Tawanna) and her devoted daughter, Kathy Johnson (Otto) all of Tampa, Florida; 1 step daughter, Jacqueline Jones (Herbert) of Tampa, Florida; 6 granddaughters, Erica Hill, Tamika Demons, Tiffany Robinson, LaTecia Johnson, Alisia Johnson and Ashley Jones; 2 grandsons, Tremayne Hall and Aaron Jones (Haronda); 3 sisters, Helen Ellison (David), Mary Cannida of Tennille, GA and Barbara Russell of Sandersville, GA; 1 brother, Tommy Washington (Pam) of Marlton, NJ; 2 aunts, Lula M. Walden of Tennille, GA and Ruth Walden of Sandersville, GA; 5 sisters-in-law, Cherrie Haines, Lilla P. Jackson of Sandersville, GA, Ressie Mae Williams, Addie Lee Roberson of Tennille, GA and Ernestine Moody of Tampa, FL; great grandchildren, Londyn S. Lett and RiElle H. Simmons she was very fond of. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, September 25th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the graveside for the service.
