Obituary

Homegoing celebration for Ms. Mimey Beatrice Hall who passed away March 28, 2013 will be held Sunday April 7th, 12:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. with family member Terrance Hall, officiating. Mimey Beatrice Hall was born March 2, 1949 to Ann (Brown) Hall and Woodrow W. Hall Sr. in Shreveport, LA. Mimey was baptized in Shreveport, LA at Paradise Baptist Church and grew into a God worshiping woman. She has been a devoted member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, KS since January 22, 2006 until her health failed her and she relocated to Riverview, FL with her niece Mari in 2011 Mimey fought rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes never gave up. Mimey and her family moved to Kansas City, KS in April 1963. Mimey attended Northeast and Sumner High school and graduated class of 1967. Mimey married Robert Walker in 1968. Mimey then worked at Kansas University Hospital as a 'Dietary Aid' in the 1970's. Mimey was also a nanny helper for Mrs. Breyer in Mission, KS for 4 years. She has had an array of jobs and been a hard worker at each until her health had failed her. Mimey was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, great-great aunt, cousin and friend to many. She was a woman of Christ devoted to her faith and family. Mimey departed this world on Thursday March 28, 2013. Her parents Woodrow and Ann Hall preceded her in death along with her eldest brother Ira Hall (Tula). She leaves two loving siblings, older sister Mary Ann Patterson and younger brother Woodrow Hall, Jr; one nephew, Larry B. Washington; two nieces, Mari A. Fagan and Dameca N. Block; one great niece, Parris A. Olton; one great nephew, DeVyne G. Fields; two great-great nephews, Gianni and Roman Olton; and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held 1 hour before the service. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Sunday for the service.
