A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Minnie Lee George 'Sister' of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020 will be held Saturday, June 20th, 10:00 a.m. at Holy Temple Church, 1215 E. 109th Ave., Bishop Allen Johnson, Jr., officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Minnie Lee George was born June 13, 1938 in Riceboro, Georgia. She attended Holy Temple Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles, Sr. and Charlotte Brown; siblings, Mary Alvin and Annie Brown. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with husband, Deacon Horace George, Sr.; children, Eleanor Crafton, Horace George, Jr., Linda George, Eloise Bell (George) and Cassandra Lee (James); 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; brothers, Charlie Brown, Jr. (Miriam) and Albert Brown (Gertrude); sisters, Martha Jones, Elaine Watkins and Cordella K. Baldwin; goddaughters, Minister Ingrid Young, Jennifer Stidhum and Alexis Jennings. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, June 19th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.
