A home going celebration for Mrs. Minnie L. Judge of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017 will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017,11:00 a.m. at The House of Restoration Church, 3416 N. 15th Street, Tampa, FL 33605, Elder Arthur L. Green, Jr., Pastor with Pastor Allen Judge, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Minnie was born in Claxton, Georgia on November 5, 1923 to the late Charlie Holmes and Ophelia Shipman. She was a long time member of Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church. Her professions included housekeeping and childcare. In addition, she enjoyed the following hobbies: yard work, childcare, community mentorship, volunteering, cooking, baking and regular walks. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother for Cub Scout troupe 618. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Aletha Judge; brothers, Charlie Holmes and Willie Matthew Holmes; sisters, Phoebe C.S. Hardee and Lillie Bell Smith; grandchildren, Calvin, Jr., Theresa and Willie Sanders, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories with her children, Wallace R. Judge, David W. Judge (Jessica), Persifer Lenard Judge, Gwendolyn Saunders (Willie), Pastor Allen Judge (Sadie), Arthur Judge and Ora Lee Judge; grandchildren, Sherri, Teri, Chiquila Wright, Adrianne, Sharde, Antonio, Marchalo, Adrian, DeAndra and Nicole Judge, Frederick, Willie J. and Alice Saunders, Dedra Rogers, Francine (Rowland) Pearson, Stuart Adams, Marvin Robertson and Angie McFadden; great grandchildren, Shavanika and Willie J. 'lil Mookie' Saunders, Larry, Tobias, Quingon, Seantinae, Eldrick, Iesha, Dujuan, Clemecia, Jeremiah, Darrly, Jr., Deara, Harper, Kevon Lane, Elesia Severin, Alfredo, Khareem, Gabriel and Aiden Valentin and Colton; a host of great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; best friend, Minnie B. Rush; close friend, Terry Mitchell; godson, Antonio Rush; and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, May 5th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
