A homegoing celebration visitation for Mrs. Minnie Mae Askew Oliver of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Thursday May 12th, 2016 will be held Friday May 20th, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, Tampa, Florida. Minnie Mae Askew was born in Richland, Georgia, on December 25th, 1922. She loved to cook and helped raised many of her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Oliver; father, Yank Askew; mother, Leola Askew and 13 siblings. She leaves to cherish her memories with her nieces, Geraldine Askew, Bernice Malone, Hazel Pearson, and nephew Tony Pearson; devoted great-nieces, Selena Williams, Aja Bradley, Lashay Bradley and Bruqushia Kirnes; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. The family will receive friends at Aikens Funeral Home Funeral Home from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
