A Homegoing Celebration Mr. Moses McClain Harmon, Sr, of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 will be held on Saturday February 27th, at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th St, Tampa, FL 33610, at 11:00 a.m., Pastor S. Evan Burrows, officiating. The interment will be held in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Moses McClain Harmon, Sr. was born on February 5, 1940 in Demopolis, Alabama to the late Rev. John Harmon and Josephine Newberry. Moses was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of College Hill. He enjoyed bowling, playing pool, swimming, and playing cards.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Harmon and Josephine Newberry; siblings, John Harmon, Annie Harris, Gertrude Payton, Grace Harris, and Viviane Robinson. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his wife, Betty Harmon; children, Sandy Stanford (Robert), Doreatha Johnson, Moses Harmon, Jr. (Nikki), Ljwan Zellner (Maurice) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Andrea Hicks (Jimmie); grandchildren, Aaron Harmon, Evander Johnson III, Stefan Stanford, Jaylan Kierra Speights, Cierra Jackson, Marques L. Johnson, Paige L. Johnson, Edward W. Johnson, Courtney Hicks (Andrean), and Jimeka Hicks; great-grandchildren, Maya Johnson, Dyonna Johnson, Kaliyah Johnson, and Armani King; sister, Irene Graves; nieces, Shirley Jackson (James) of Lansdown, Pennsylvania; goddaughters, Dr. Florence Parra and Patrice Bingham; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The visitation will be on Friday, February 26, 2021, 4:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m., The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.
