Adams
October 3, 1930 – December 16, 2022
Mother Adams was born on October 3, 1930, in Cairo, GA., to Aaron and Hattie B. Adams. She attended to schools in Grady County, and accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of New Corinth Missionary Baptist Church. She relocated to Rochester, NY., and worked as a nurse. In the early 1960s she moved to Tampa, FL., and joined Highland M.B. Church. She served the church for many years, she was a former Sunday School Superintendent, a Sunday School teacher, a member of the Number 1 Choir, a member of the Pastors Aid Board, a member of the Mission Board. She faithfully attended bible study and Sunday worship services in the morning and afternoon. She loved her family and spending time with the small babies, cooking, reading her bible, watching television, and her church members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert C. and Charlie Adams; sisters, Ethel Hills, Fannie Butler, and Mamie Reynolds; nephews, George Pratter, and Lorenzo and Wardell Bradshaw.
She leaves precious memories with her nieces, Ozzie M. Ashley, Dorothy Reynolds, Juanita Reynolds (Ronnie), Selina King, Priscilla Adams, Vanessa Fowlkes, Debra Coats, Brenda McElveen, all of Baltimore, MD; nephews, Aaron Reynolds (Verginia), Johnny F. Reynolds, Paul Reynolds, all of Tampa, FL., and Lannis Adams, of Cairo, GA.; great nephews and nieces, Tiffney Wilson, Oneita Henderson (Otis), Nekisha Bailey (Faran), Dominique Autry, Kendra and Tristan Reynolds (Eddie), Shelly Ross (Eddie), James, Antonio (Shawn) and Shawntay Reynolds, Frederick Harris (Veronica), Travis McGivery, Lorenzo Bradshaw, Jr., Johnny F. Reynolds, Jr., all of Tampa, FL., Shawnteel Bradshaw of Atlanta, GA, Litasha Banks, Marquita, Wardell, Jr., Ronado Bradshaw, all of Charleston, SC., and Cornelius Knight of Tampa, FL.; great great nephews and nieces, Teona, Anquanesha, and Aquian Rodgers, Barbara, Dwayne, and Wayne Davis, Jameisha Javionna, and Jayla Haynes, Ronnie Owens, Jr., Kelvin McCollough, all of Tampa, FL., DeQuan and Sharde Bradshaw, Airyonna Ronado Jr., SaDejah and Damius Manigault of Charleston, S.C., and Shanyah Doyle; special little ones, Eyman and Antonio Riley, Quincy Douthit, Joshiah Rodgers, and Saniyah Fergurson; sister-in-law, Carolyn Adams of Baltimore, MD., like a son, Bill McCall (Leona); host of other family and friends, the Burges family of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Fortners family, Davis family of Cairo, GA., Tripps family, Black family, and Jackson family of Tampa, FL.; and special thank you to Patsy Ross, Nadine Steward, and the Life Path Hospice, burgundy team.
