A Homegoing Celebration for Mother Thelma L. Green of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Friday, July 10, 2020 will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at New Salem Primitive BaptistChurch, 1605 N. Nebraska Ave., Pastor Benjamin Curry, officiating.

Mother Green was born on March 16, 1925. She attended St. John Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks Sr. She served as a member of choir #1 for a long time and an honorary member of Greater New Salem Primitive Baptist Church, Dr. Benjamin Curry. She previously served as usher and a member of choir #3.She enjoyed and loved to dance, sing and always praising the Lord.

She graduated from Don Thompson/Blake High School, attended Hillsborough Community College. She was a domestic worker/caretaker for over 70 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Sarah White; husband, Lee Green and brother, Fred White.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories;two daughters,Patricia Green Tillman and Deborah Green; her grandchild, Jeremy Smith; children, Eddy Deterville, Delores Grayson-Lee, Lee Melvin Green, Verneta Green Johnson, Michael Green, Danny Green and Tony Green; grandchildren, Eddy Barton, Felica Barton, Addison Grayson, Enrique Grayson, Katura Grayson, Miriam Thompson, Valerie Ross, Melinda Green Rhonda Gentle, Tolanda Bowman, Keshona Hudson, Michelle Green, Jasmin Green, Dannetta Green, Tequila Green and Tony Green Jr.; brother, Willie Lee White (Victoria); sister, Geraldine Gilchrist (Jimmy); host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.
