Mother Hattie B.
Parker
Jul 30, 1943 — Jul 1, 2026
Tampa
With hearts filled with love and gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the life and legacy of Mother Hattie Parker, who was born on July 30, 1943, in Sardis, Georgia, to the late George Aiken and Mamie Allen Aiken. Hattie was raised in Sardis, where she attended Sardis High School. She later made Florida her home and dedicated more than 30 years of faithful service to Textile Services at Tampa General Hospital. Above all else, Hattie was a woman of unwavering faith. She loved the Lord with all her heart and lived her life as a testament to His goodness and grace. Her relationship with Jesus was the foundation upon which she built her life. She was loving, compassionate, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and caring heart will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Mother Parker was preceded in death by her loving husband Mr Lougene Alexander Parker, a beloved grandchild, Trevina Duncan; her parents, George Aiken and Mamie Allen Aiken; her brothers, Eugene Aiken and James Aiken; and her sisters, Gladys Allen, Lizzie Mae Covington, Mary Kirkland, and Martha Moore.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her devoted sons, Eric Parker (Etrinda) and Scott Parker (Cheyenne); her cherished grandchildren, Ronald Washington, Eric Washington, Latoya Lasing (Adrian), Prentice Parker, and Dominique Parker; and her adored great-grandchildren, Emoni Washington, Taleya Brown, Serenity Duncan, Aaliyah Lasing, Eric Washington Jr., Harmony Duncan, and Ari Lasing. She is also lovingly remembered by her brother, George Aiken Sr. (Kate); her dear aunt, Nellie Chaney; her treasured friends, Mrs. Ruby Speights, Mother Miller and Annie Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will continue to honor her legacy of faith, love, and kindness. Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we rejoice in knowing that Hattie has received the ultimate reward and now rests peacefully in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love will remain in our hearts forever.
