Homegoing celebration for Mrs. Mozell Hurt-Davis of Tampa who passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015 will be held Saturday, March 21st, 11:00 a.m. at New Smyrna Baptist Church, 5015 N. 17th Street Bishop W.L. Lee, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mozell was born May 1, 1928 to the late Henry and Mary Durham in Worth County, Georgia. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Leroy Davis. She leaves to cherish her memories with children, Nelson Williams (Alice), L.C. Williams of Newberry, NY, Willie Simon Byrd of Tampa, FL, Mary Robinson (Willie) of Tampa, FL and Stephine Hurt; of Tampa, FL. She raised 2 grandchildren Mary Williams and Shirley Correal (Joseph) of Beverley Hill, FL; 26 grandchildren; 66 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Beatrice Durham and Myrle Davis; daughter-in-law, Earline Byrd; special friend, William Robinson; and a host other nieces, nephews, cousins family and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, March 20th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
