Mr. Alexander Jovan Nealy was born on March 2, 1979, in Winter Haven, Florida, to Randolph Nealy and Gloria Bass. Alexander received his education in Polk County, graduating from Travis Vocational School. He continued his studies at Polk Community College, where he earned his associate degree in Criminal Justice. Throughout his life, Alexander was a dedicated and hardworking man. He served his community as a police officer for seven years, demonstrating courage, integrity, and a commitment to helping others. He later became the owner and operator of Nealy's Trucking, building a successful business through determination and perseverance. Among his many accomplishments, Alexander was also an ordained pastor who faithfully answered God's call to ministry. A man of deep faith, Alexander served as the Youth Pastor at New Wine Outreach Church, where he inspired and mentored countless young people through his wisdom, compassion, and unwavering devotion to God. Alexander found joy in many activities. He loved singing and was gifted in playing the keyboard, organ, and drums. He enjoyed jet skiing, cooking, and watching television shows centered on law enforcement and policing. Above all, he cherished spending quality time with his children, family, and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his father, Randolph Nealy; sister, Angel Joyner; paternal grandparents, Randolph Nealy, Sr., Annie Bell Nealy, Joe Bass and Essie Bass; maternal grandparents, Alex Williams and Laura Bell Williams; aunt, Mary Ann Lloyd; uncles, Calvin Nealy, Willie White, James Williams, John Williams and Charles Williams; and friend, Kevin Sams.
He leaves cherished memories to his mother, Gloria Bass (Jimmie); ex-wife, Cynthia Lynn Taylor; children, Alexia Nealy, Alivia Nealy, Erial Wilson, Dominique Barnes, Daeshah Ramsey and Timmia Ramsey; grandchildren, Ja’kaylee Lewis and Syriah Murray' brothers, Lester Lane and Gerderick Dorsey; sisters, Dianella Nealy, Vernessa Bass and Jermerris Bass; aunts, Verrie Williams, Leggie Moore, Gwendolyn Lively, Deloris Nealy, Annie May Nealy, Mary Nealy and Edith Nealy; uncles, Roy Lee Williams, Willie Fred Williams, Robert Nealy (Donna) and Lawrence Nealy (Magleasa); nieces, Laturice London, Kiara London, Jayanna Baker, Mercedes Nealy and Nathalie Nealy; nephews, Jakobi Culver, Isaiah Hunt, Rondarius Bass, Koraugi Baker, Javier Codero, Ricardo Washington, Donovan Walker, Jaiden Doesey and Gerderick Doesey, Jr.; along with a host of cousins and other loving relatives.
Those who knew Alexander will remember him as a loving, funny, intelligent, and faith-filled man whose presence brought joy and encouragement to everyone he encountered. His legacy of service, faith, and love will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.
