Jewell Lee Williams II, affectionately known as "Man," was born on January 8, 1983, in Tampa, Florida, to Jewell Lee Williams I and Christine Williams-Griffin. From an early age, Jewell possessed a warm and welcoming spirit that naturally drew people to him. Whether meeting someone for the first time or greeting a lifelong friend, he was known for his genuine smile, kind heart and willingness to lend a helping hand. Everyone who encountered him appreciated his easy-going nature and the sincere kindness he extended to others. Jewell attended Blake High School, where he played Junior Varsity and Varsity football. The discipline, teamwork and determination he displayed on the football field reflected the character he carried throughout his life. Jewell was dependable, compassionate and always willing to support those around him. His warm personality left a lasting impression, and he had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcome and valued. 

He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Jia Williams; uncle, Hilton Williams, Sr.; paternal grandparents, John Thomas Williams and Charlotte Williams. 

Jewell leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving father, Jewell Williams I (Venita McKinney); devoted mother, Christine Williams-Griffin; brothers, Julius Ford, Dexter Griffin and Joshua Trotman; sisters, Jeveta L. Williams-Williams and Tiffany Wilson; aunts, Ginger (Prince) Williams-Patton, beloved godparents; who affectionately knew him as "Big Baby," Johnie Mae Williams, Shalia Williams and Cornelius "Princess" Williams; uncles, Retired Master Chief (U.S. Navy) Willie B. Williams (Lendora) and Charles E. Williams (Phyllis); cousin, Sean Whitehead; maternal grandmother, Mamie Frances Williams; special friend, Tyleah Hamilton; more than a decade long friend, Kevin Williams; family friends, Kia Burts and Darryl Williams; beloved goddaughters, YaVaughn and LeAjeai; god-sister, Karinda Olivo; neighbor, Lavinia Nordgren and a host of cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends whose lives were enriched by his presence. “Man” leaves fond memories with a host of relatives and friends, too numerous to note. Prayerfully, his humble, kind spirit lingers in your hearts forevermore.
