Obituary

Mr. Morris Glenn, Jr., affectionately known as "Tally," was born on July 30, 1926, in Monticello, Florida, to the late Morris Glenn, Sr. and Sarah Blake Glenn. He received his education through the Jefferson County School System, where he developed the values of hard work, perseverance and integrity that would guide him throughout his life. Answering the call to serve his country, Morris proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, faithfully serving with honor and distinction. His military service reflected his deep sense of patriotism and commitment to others.

Following his service, Morris found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially gardening, where he lovingly nurtured flowers and plants with the same care and patience he extended to those around him. He found peace in nature and took pride in watching things grow, creating beauty wherever he planted. Tally will be remembered as a loving and spirited man whose warmth, resilience and generous heart touched the lives of many. His quiet strength, unwavering love for his family and enduring spirit will remain a treasured legacy for all who knew and loved him. His life was a testament to service, kindness and faithfulness, and his memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends and all whose lives he enriched.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris Glenn, Sr. and Sarah Blake Glenn; son, Christopher Glenn; daughters, Ethel Mae Glenn and Verna Faye Glenn; grandchild, Leslie Glenn; brothers, Monroe Glenn, David Glenn and Horace Glenn; sisters, Edith Baldwin and Nancy Grant; and a host of aunts and uncles. He leaves cherished memories to his sons, Wayne Glenn (Juanita), Stewart Glenn (Margie), Tommie Glenn (Paulette) and Mario Glenn (Summer); daughter, Patricia Elaine Glenn; 17 beautiful grandchildren; sisters, Florence Joseph and Thelma Gainey; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
