Obituary

Beverly Ann Adams was born in Omaha, Nebraska on July 26, 1945, to Charles Augustus Adams and Flora Parks-Bearclaw. She was raised by her grandmother, Hattie Robinson. She departed this earthly life on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Beverly grew up in Douglas County and graduated from Omaha Central High School, class of 1964, where she was on the pep squad. In high school, she worked as an elevator operator at Brandeis Department Store, she also worked at Northern Bell as a telephone operator. Beverly was a homemaker until 1982 before becoming a teacher's aide at E.E. Just Elementary. Later, she worked at Martin's Uniforms. In 1984, she started working at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company as a Claims Document Processor until her retirement in 1994. Beverly loved going to church, reading books, music, old black and white movies, and sweets. In 1963, Beverly met Ruben at a mutual friend's wedding. Soon afterwards, they had their first date at a James Brown & Jackie Wilson concert. The young couple entwined their lives together on June 21, 1964. Before long, they welcomed their first child, Alycia in (1965), LaShann (1966), Ruben, Jr. (1973), Sheena (1976), and their last child, Keeli (1978). 

In 1968, Beverly and her sister Melody were baptized in Jesus' name and received the Holy Ghost, soon followed by their husbands. Together, Beverly and Ruben, started and presided over Community Holiness Church in Tampa, Florida for many years. She was married to her loving husband Ruben for 62 years before his departure. 

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben; parents, Charles Augustus Adams and Flora Parks-Bearclaw; five brothers, Evlond (AL), Emmett, Eddie, Irvin and Charles; four sisters, Josie, Shirleen, Dorothy and Melody. 

Beverly leaves her loving children to cherish her memories: Alycia (Andrew), LaShann (Anthony deceased), Ruben, Jr., Sheena and Keeli; grandchildren, Darius (Megan), Jamee, Shakayla, Joseph (Viridiana), Lamar, Lena and Nathan; adopted grandchildren, Myesha, Leontyne, Teah and Jazmyne; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
