Carolyn was born on December 10, 1947, in Tampa, Florida, to the late Anthony and Willie Mae Williams. She was a proud graduate of Blake High School in West Tampa. Carolyn enjoyed cruising, gardening, and landscaping her yard, which brought her great joy throughout her life. She dedicated 30 years of service to James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital before retiring in 2002.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Willie Mae Williams; and stepmother, Margaret Quick.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories to her loving daughters, Kathy Myers (Charles) and Sonia Mitchell; and son, Ronald Johnson. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Quesawn Johnson, Asante Myers, Michael Lovett II, Mikhila Lovett, Jaeden Johnson and Devaughn Akines. She is also survived by her sisters, Antoinette Williams and Jacquelyn Scurry (Hector); brother, Anthony Williams, Jr.; along with a host of nieces and nephews: Reginald, Tomeka, Nigel, Michael, Arnetha, Stephanie, Corey, Monique, Farah, Narkeetris, Christopher, Anthony, Beverly Jean, Betty Ann, Denise, Vickie, Aleta, Liann, John, Rhonda, Andrew, Catherine Traylor, Hattie, Annette, Jeanette, Ralph, Keith, Patrick, Diarra and Jordyn; loving cousins, Sharon, Ronald (Gail), Ronae, Kendra, Brenda, John and Daniel. She will also be lovingly remembered by her cherished family and dear friends: Vanessa, Mary, Mamie (John), Catherine, Lewis (Sonia), Samara, Samal, Benny B., Ruby (Melvin), Melissa, Arthur (Nicole), Shawanna, Victor, Markesha (LaTay), Jordan, Arthur, Devon, Gwendolyn and Henrietta; along with her devoted friends, Larry Escalante, Dorothy Hayes and Theodore Taylor; and her beloved grand-pup, Kenzo.
