Mylena Detrice Clark, affectionately known as “Lil Lady,” was born on September 29, 1975, in Tampa, Florida. She was a proud graduate of Chamberlain High School. She was a member of The Women’s Planning Council Ministry, Bless His Name Sunday School Class and volunteered with The NextGen Youth Pre-K at First Baptist Church of College Hill, Pastor Dr. S. Evan Burrows, Tampa, FL. She also served with the Nursing Home Ministry alongside her best friend Debra at Greater Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Bernard J. Black Jr. Spending time with her children and enjoying family gatherings were among the moments she treasured most. 

Her love was genuine, and she had a special way of showing those closest to her just how much they meant. “Lil Lady” enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She loved watching cartoons, her favorite being Paw Patrol, listening to music, eating her favorite foods, braiding hair and watching makeup videos. Courageously, her pink teddy bear was never far from her side. She could also be found enjoying episodes of Sanford and Son, a show that always brought entertainment and laughter. She also had a tender heart for her beloved turtles, Nemo and Dorey, whom she enjoyed caring for along with caring for Stori their beloved Frenchie. They were just another reflection of her nurturing and loving spirit. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Linnie Pearl Clark; brother, John Thomas Clark, Jr.; aunt, Lacy B. Dean; uncles, Johnny Grady Armstrong and Cleveland Armstrong; and nephews, Kameron Armstrong and Jaakan Chinua Clark-Lewis. She leaves cherished memories to her father, John Thomas Clark, Sr.; daughters, Destini Smith (Chrystian) and Aloni Smith (Sean); grandchild, Brillyant Chinua Anderson; brothers, Woodrow Armstrong (Rhonda) and Louis Clark; sisters, Margie Foster Edmead, Jacqueline Clark, Sharon Pattmon and Tuvache Roberts (Arthur); special sisters-in-law, Arnettia Clark, Tamara Armstrong and Sheila Clark; aunt, Gabriel McDaniel; uncles, Jesse Armstrong (Diane), Timothy Williams and John Williams; nieces, Tiffany Edmead (Tim), Na'imah Armstrong, Valarie Dove, Tameka Clark, Aisha Clark, Salina Green, Sherese Powell (Kewan) and Shandrea Glenn; nephews, Charles Mcdonald (Danielle), Jelani Cox, Tor Armstong, Jabari Armstrong, Woodrow Armstrong, Tuvonshay Knight, Arthur Roberts, Tobaris Arrington, Lorenzo Pattmon, Commie Pattmon and Corey Pattmon; and a host of other nieces and nephews; cousin, Michael Dean; Godchildren, Iyania Glanton, India Muldrow, Serenity Cheatman and Kaysen Donaldson; special helpers, Elijah Blue and Nellemarie; and special friend and sister, Debra Lindsay (James).
