Mr. Murray Lee Newsome was born January 4, 1960, in Leslie, Georgia, to the late Howard and Annie Lee Newsome. He was the 7th of eight siblings, the baby boy. He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music, and playing CDs. Murray was affectionate towards anyone he encountered.

Murray was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Annie Newsome; brothers, Cornelius Newsome, Sidney Newsome, and James Newsome; sister, Barbara Ann Hall; and nephew, Tyrone Newsome.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his sisters, Otella Edwards and Lula Bell Moore; brothers, Howard (Ernestine) Newsome and Lee Edgar Newsome; aunts, Mildred Newsome, Reba Wilson, and Annie Maude Sutton; uncle, James Wilson; nieces and nephews, Cornelius, Beverly, Nathaniel, Gloria Ann, Shani, Kanika, Arri, Jermain, Christian, Herman, Tamesha, Aaron, Demarcus, Kaleena, Latasha, Kendra, Corey, Shakandra and Marcus; brother-in-law, Robert Pete Edwards; a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends, including: the Newsome, Wilson, Whitehead, Johnson, and Bivins families.
