Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Myrtice L. Austin of Tampa, Florida who passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 will be held on Saturday, March 5th, 12:30 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Rev. Otis B. Cooper III, pastor of New Rising Star M.B. Church, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Austin was born on September 14, 1923. Myrtice enjoyed working in her yard and sewing. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lillie Turner; husband, Willie Walters; son, William Austin; brother, Sam Brown and sister, Vera Myers. She leaves to cherish her memories with her niece, Rosa Hendrix Jones; nephew, Clementis McCall; grandniece, Rogena Lee Glean; grand nephews, Fred L. Lee, Jr. (Shirley), Eric L. Lee (Gail), Don R. Lee, Franklin Jones and Donald Jones; cousin, Julian Canty; friends, Mr. and Mrs. James Canty, Jr., Mr. Ira Ashley III, Master Damien Ashley, Mr. Quinton Edmond, Bro. Hart, Mr. Lennon Weaver and Bro. Alvin Handcock; and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held on Friday, March 4th at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
