Homegoing services for Mr. Nadie Spivey of Tampa, who passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2013, will be held on Saturday, July 6th, 10:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd with Rev. Preston Leonard, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Mr. Nadie Spivey was born on December 24, 1922 in Philadelphia, Mississippi. He attended Christ Gospel Church. He enjoyed watching westerns, fishing, and was a Buccaneers fan. Nadie was preceded in death by his parents, Diamond and Ruby Spivey; 2 brothers and brothers-in-law, JC Brantley and Vernan Brantley. He leaves to cherish his memory with his nieces, Joyce Green, Regina Brantley and Ruby Wilson; nephews, Jeffrey Brantley, Rickey Brantley, Jerome Brantley, Edward Steele and C.G. Steele; great nieces, Tanya Oliver, Shirl Robinson Bell, Ameris Boatwright and Jackie Powell; great nephews, Gregory Smith, Micheal Wilson, Todd Green, Jeffrey Brantley, Jr., Kobe Brantley, Nathan Brantley, Bruce Brantley, Jerome Brantley, Pekail Brantley and Donald Copeland; great-great niece, Ariana Green; great-great nephews, Brandon Smith, Keevan Smith, Jordan Smith and Tevan Green; and a host of other relatives and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, July 5th, from 5-8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
